[PTab=Extensive (Optional)]APPEARANCE: With the exception of his eyes, the red streak in his hair, and his height, Masaki is the spitting image of Hiei. They have the same face, same build, mostly the same tastes in food, same unique style of hair, differing only slightly in color (where Hiei's hair is white, Masaki's is red). Masaki sounds almost exactly like Hiei when he speaks, and if you heard his voice over the phone, you would be confused over which one it was (luckily, it isn't in either of their characters to take advantage of this). Even if it weren't for their ten-inch height difference, though, they still probably wouldn't be mistaken for one another in person. Masaki's green eyes are striking, and the red/black contrast in his hair is hard to miss. Also, he smiles more...a LOT more.
HISTORY/FAMILY/CHILDHOOD: Masaki, though born in Makai, has lived in the human world his whole life, due to Kurama's job, and almost his entire family living there. As a baby and a young toddler, Masaki was clingy and needy, never wanting to leave the lap or arms of a loved one. He was trusting and loving, able to fall asleep soundly when cuddled and comforted, but incessantly crying when left alone. However, Hiei and Kurama practiced attachment parenting, so this wasn't much of an issue. Much to Hiei's horror, his first word was "Kuwabara"! As a child he was a little shy, but mainly obedient. He passed the time by coloring and working on his newly-discovered plant powers. His favorite thing to draw was pictures of his family, and he mostly drew pictures of what made him happy. During his teen years he worked hard on getting past his shyness and became a good conversationalist. He is an apprentice to both Kurama and Yukina. Kurama was the owner of a shop called Minamino's Herbal Solutions (mostly known as Minamino's) for Masaki's whole life, and upon graduating high school, instead of going on to college, Masaki became co-owner of Kurama's business, learning how to make his tonics, to hurt or to heal. While Kurama is the Plant Master, Masaki is the Poison Master, having relied more on plants with paralyzing or deadly toxins as opposed to the plants themselves being deadly. Luckily, he doesn't get angry easily, although like many nice people, this can cause him to be taken advantage of, and he's still working on standing up for himself. Since he inherited his Aunt Yukina's healing powers, he is her apprentice as well. He married his wife, Hana, at age 20 (the two are only about four months apart in age.
PERSONALITY: Masaki inherited Hiei's looks (for the most part), and Kurama's powers, but his personality shines through as inherited from his Aunt Yukina. He is gentle, affectionate, and demure, which can lead to a tendency to be too nice, overly trusting, and sometimes neglectful of himself. Others tend to wish that he was ruled less by his heart and more by his head. When a friend or family member is hurt or upset, his first instinct is to feel along with them and support them emotionally, while the idea of actually solving the problem doesn't always occur to him, at least not at first. In general, he's very openly affectionate. He loves people, and thinks that both humanity and demonkind are mostly good. He finds it easy to understand and empathize with other's emotions, but not as easily their logic process or decisions. It's more like, "We can do it because you want to do it, even if I don't understand why." His emotions control him more than he controls them, which isn't always (or even often) a good thing. He believes crying is healthy and that you should never be ashamed to do it, but in general, he is a very happy person, content with his life. He is also on the "artsy" side, delving into art and music. He is a master martial artist.
CURRENT LIFE: Masaki is very happy with his life. He greets strangers with a polite bow, friends and family with friendly hugs, and his wife, Hana, with a loving hug and kiss. He currently works as the co-owner for his father's shop, Minamino's Herbal Solutions. His wife, Hana, is pregnant with twins. He lives with her, his aunt Evee Icey, and his Yorkipoo, Kinoko. His favorite place to be is in nature.
AS A FIGHTER: Like Hiei, Masaki prefers to finish his fights quickly, though he doesn't possess enough raw energy to simply overwhelm an opponent, like his brother Ryu. He does need to have seeds or poisons on hand for whatever he needs to accomplish. Masaki fights with plants, like Kurama, but unlike Kurama, he also fights with poison. His signature move is Poison Dart, which can be paralyzing at best, fatal at worst, depending on the strength and health of the opponent, as well as Masaki's intentions. Sometimes he combines Poison Dart with Rose Whip, Kurama's move, for a deadly combination, or uses Poison Dart to paralyze his opponent while he launches another attack. Like his siblings, he's been trained in swordsmanship, and he's been working on it a lot more ever since acquiring the Poison Sword. Although he doesn't mind a good friendly spar, and he does fight in the Makai Tournaments, he doesn't particularly enjoy fighting, and he tends to hold back, sometimes until it's too late (it's a bit of a mental block). He'd rather be the healer who tends to your wounds after the fight. He doesn't have Hiei's speed (only his sister, Miyuki, was blessed with this ability) but he does have Kurama's lightning-quick reflexes, which helped him succeed in martial arts and gives him an edge in battle. He also possesses the Poison Sword, which is (as the name suggests) a sword containing very deadly poison. However, in terms of fighting he is still considered the weakest among his parents' three children.
