Hello! Before you role-play as a character, we'd like to know a little more about you! When you create a new character, we kindly request that you create a bio for them (as per these questions). Please add said bio to this board in a NEW thread. Also, please use the coding provided in this post (thank you, Mod Riley !) to format your bio. As stated in the post, you will need to quote the post, then copy and paste the code into a NEW thread in the Character Creation board. Make sure you fill out the form in BBCode (NOT Preview).
To insert a picture into your bio, first make sure the picture is square, preferably 200 by 200 pixels. Then, insert it in between the quotes, where the red circle indicates:
This means that, unfortunately, you will not be able to directly upload a picture from your computer's hard drive. You'll need to link to an image that's already on the Internet. If there's an image on your computer's hard drive that you want to use, simply visit an image hosting website (I like this one a lot) and upload an image from your computer's hard drive. Once the image is uploaded, right-click on the image to copy the image link. (The menu that appears when you right-click will be slightly different depending on the browser. In Chrome, select "copy image address." In Edge, click "Copy Image Link." In Explorer, click "Properties" and copy the link you'll see in the little pop-up box.) Make sure you copy the image LINK and not the image itself! Once the image is on your clipboard, just replace the image link in the quotes with your own link. If you use fanart that is not your own, please ask permission first and credit the artist! Fanart by you, official art, screencaps, or images created on avatar makers such as Picrew or Doll Divine do not need to be credited. (Please note that sexual or graphically violent images are not permitted!) This goes for both your avatar and the image in your bio (which may or may not match).
We understand that coding, linking, and working with images can be confusing, complicated, and even frustrating. The staff's job is to keep the forum running smoothly and make the place welcome for all members, old and new, so you are strongly encouraged to reach out to Mod Riley or any of the admin if you need assistance. We're here to help!
EDIT: Now, with the training week coming up and then the tournament, we have decided to open a board where fighter characters (canon and OC) can keep track of all their moves. You do NOT need to complete this, but it can be useful when battling so you have a resource listing all of your character's attacks. On the instructional thread, there will be some resources you can use to decide new moves. Most characters have a standard move, a strongest move, or both, as well as some others. (For example, Yusuke's standard is Spirit Gun, while Hiei's strongest is Dragon of the Darkness Flame.) Please note that at any given your character is only allowed to have four offensive moves, two defensive moves, and you should have at least two significant power limitations. You can add a new technique/move but not without taking away an old one. As stated in the general Rules and Regulations, you may NOT change your stats during the middle of an ongoing battle or in any archived threads. You can also list things your character uses power for other than fighting. For these you may have up to ten. These rules are in place to prevent characters from being overpowered.
Here is an example of a completed bio: Bio - Masaki Minamino
PLEASE NOTE: Canon characters are not required to create bios.
