Kokou vs. Ryu (MAKAI TOURNAMENT X)

[Scoreboard]

RULES: Kokou and Ryu will take turns fighting with the "attack" button in the quick reply box below. The Scoreboard (that's me!) will post intermittently, keeping track of their HP. When one combatant's HP falls to or below zero, he or she has lost consciousness and the remaining fighter has won! Each fighter has one week, or seven days, to show up at the battle by making an entry post. If neither show up, the battle will be archived and declared a tie. If only one shows up, that combatant will be declared the winner by default and the battle will be archived. If both fighters show up before the seven days are completed, the battle will begin as soon as both have arrived. If the battle goes one week or more without being updated, the fighter with the highest health will be declared the winner and the battle will be archived. Now without further ado...Begin!

[Ryu Minamino]

Ryu, of course, arrived in the ring first. He was super excited about facing the Queen! Ryu liked to fight people, and he thought it was quite a treat to be able to fight the actual Demon Queen, who had won her throne because nobody was strong enough to take it away from her. Ryu wanted to be like that, too. So he was way too excited to fight her.

[Kokou]

Kokou couldn't help but feel that she'd been cheated. She had trained hard to become the Queen of Makai, and this was what they gave her as her first opponent? She could only hope that after she finished the dumb kid off, her next opponent would be more of a challenge. She glared at Ryu and said, "Well?"

[Ryu Minamino]

"I like your style," said Ryu with a grin, and he started by using Flamethrower on Kokou!

[Kokou]

Kokou was surprised; Ryu's Flamethrower attack was stronger than she thought. However, it would take a lot more than that to take her out! She used an Energy Beam on Ryu!

[Ryu Minamino]

Ryu was thrown backwards by Kokou's energy beam, but he managed to get to his feet. He slashed her with his Fire Sword!

[Kokou]

Kokou did feel some burning from the sword but she tried to hide it like a strong queen. She surrounded Ryu in a painful energy warp.

[Ryu Minamino]

Ryu used most of his fire powers to cut out the energy, but it did leave an unpleasant sensation. So he used Forest Fire on her!

[Kokou]

Kokou blocked out most of the Forest Fire but her legs got slightly burned. How dare he! She wrapped him even tighter with her energy!

[Ryu Minamino]

The squeezing was very uncomfortable for Ryu, but he tried to break out and use a Fire Bomb on Kokou.
