Cyra's Birthday

Today was a great day! It was cold, and Ru-Ru disliked cold...but today was her girlfriend’s birthday, and she was going to make it special! She bought a cake at the bakery in Cyra’s favorite flavor, and there were balloons and ice cream too. Now she just had to wait for the birthday girl to arrive.

Cyra had returned home from her usual daily chores, she stretched as she reached the front door. In all honesty, with everything that's been going on, she had completely forgotten that it was her birthday today. She unlocked the door and entered the main hallway of her home,taking off her shoes and coat and hanging it up. She was humming song to herself.

Ru-Ru felt her heart leap at the unmistakable sound of her girlfriend coming home. She wondered...how was she going to surprise her? Finally, she decided she would have to get Cyra into the room, and then she would jump up and yell, "Surprise!" It was a classic and just the sort of thing Cyra would like.
