Shura was happier than he had been in a long time. It was finally his half-sister's twelfth birthday! He had invited his father, his stepfather, and Bella's new best friend, Chardelli, to the party, although some of their other friends were welcome to come along. Zeru was Bella's father, and the reincarnated fire demon was now like a father to Shura, too. Shura wasn't any good at baking, so he had ordered a cake. Bella had been sheltered most of her life, so Shura took it upon himself to introduce her to the world.
Bella especially liked ice cream cakes, so Shura had made sure to get one of those for her. He placed demon food and candy around the cake for her to eat, and set up some of her favorite music. Shura knew his sister was blind (something she was born with), so he made sure there would be a lot for her to touch, taste, and hear. She would also have Sparky, her Seeing Eye dog, though Sparky was a bit more than that: Bella had been born with the ability to communicate telepathically with animals, so Sparky could tell her what he saw, too.
When everything was set up, Shura sat down at the table excitedly. Now all he had to do was wait.
