Ice Queen vs. Firework (Winner: Miyuki)

For our first match today we have an interesting battle for you with not only fire vs. ice, but sister vs. sister! Standing at 5'2" and 16 years old, we have ice warrior Miyuki Minamino, older daughter of famed fighters and Dark Tournament champions Hiei and Kurama, vs. their younger daughter, standing at 5'0" and 13 years old, pyromancer Natsumi Minamino! Miyuki is extremely deadly, especially for a sixteen-year-old, having inherited her Aunt Yukina's ice powers, Hiei's speed, and Kurama's brains; but Natsumi is no shrinking violet and though she's young and inexperienced, definitely the underdog here, she's ready to prove herself! What will the outcome be?

RULES: Miyuki and Natsumi will take turns fighting with the "attack" button in the quick reply box below. The Scoreboard (that's me!) will post intermittently, keeping track of their HP. When one combatant's HP falls to zero, she has lost consciousness and the remaining fighter has won!

Miyuki approached the ring calmly but warily, wondering what this battle would have in store. She knew she was a good fighter, boasting two knockouts in her recent seven-on-seven battle royale and being one of the last to fall, but her sister had shown quite remarkable improvement. Like the announcer said, she did have a thirst to prove herself, and Miyuki wondered if in this battle, that would be her downfall. Only time would tell...

[Natsumi Minamino]

Natsumi was both excited and nervous to fight her sister. Miyuki was downright scary in the ring; would Natsumi be able to beat her? She didn’t think so, to be honest, but what kind of attitude was that? She still managed a grin when she saw her sister standing there waiting for her.

"Hello, Natsumi," said Miyuki, bowing politely, then deliberating on her first attack. She decided to shoot an Icicle Dart, aiming for Natsumi's arm.

"I don't know whether I should be relieved or insulted," Natsumi taunted, pulling the ice shard out of her arm and throwing it almost carelessly back at her older sister.

"Ow!" Miyuki shrieked, startled by her own Icicle Dart landing right back in her own arm! "I see we're not messing around, are we?" she said, and slashed her sister with her Ice Whip!

[Natsumi Minamino]

Natsumi cried out in pain as the icicles on Miyuki's Ice Whip slashed across her entire body. In an instant she was on the floor, bleeding, with tears in her eyes. Did her sister really have to hit her that hard?! Struggling to her hands and knees, she shot a fireball out of her palm, aiming for Miyuki's face! That would show her!

"Okay, Natsumi is better than I expected," Miyuki muttered to herself as a fireball painfully burned her cheek. She felt a little bad at the devastating effect her Ice Whip had, but not enough that she would hold back. Natsumi wouldn't want her to, anyway. So she used her electricity glove to electrocute Natsumi.

Natsumi's world was completely blurred by pain as an electrical current surged through her body. Why had she ever signed up to be a fighter? Her sister was both scary and strong, never holding back, and she was infamous for her complete power control. It had been one thing fighting with her, but against her seemed to be a mistake. She stayed on the ground this time to rest, but she sent a small flame from her fingertip along the floor to try to burn Miyuki.

Miyuki was definitely doing damage on Natsumi, but Natsumi was proving not to be a pushover. Miyuki got burned again by her younger sister's trail of fire, so she went in for another electric shock.
